Megan Hanley has spent her career at the intersection of financial services and technology brands that create both customer and enterprise value.
As the chief marketing officer, Megan is responsible for stewarding the Edelman Financial Engines brand so that it engages individuals at the most important financial moments in their lives – helping to meet their needs no matter where they are on their personal financial journey. She believes that leveraging customer insights to align and focus business efforts is how to put the client at the center of everything we do.
In her role, Megan oversees a team of marketing professionals and functions that are focused on strategies that drive customer loyalty and advance the brand, while attracting more investors who seek sound holistic financial planning and investment advice.
With more than 25 years of experience in financial and professional services, Megan has a proven track record of driving growth and reaching financial consumers in early-stage ventures as well as established companies. Prior to Edelman Financial Engines, Megan was chief marketing officer at Forge Global, the first publicly-traded marketplace for researching, buying, and selling private company stocks. Previously, she held top marketing positions at multiple early and later stage companies, including Achieve Financial, ShopRunner, Microsoft, and Esurance. Outside of work, Megan has served in a number of advisory and board roles and mentors burgeoning entrepreneurs and emerging marketing leaders.
Megan earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame and a master’s in business administration from Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
