With 30 years of experience in financial services, Melissa is a key member of the Advanced Planning Strategies Insurance Team, helping advisors craft insurance guidance for their clients.

Melissa joined Edelman Financial Engines in 2024, is a Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) and holds a Certification for Long-Term Care (CLTC®). Prior to EFE, she held senior insurance roles with WealthVest, Global Benefits Group, John Hancock and Genworth.

After falling in love with insurance nearly three decades ago, Melissa has had the opportunity to work with many different financial professionals, including broker dealers and insurance carriers. She loves being able to connect with advisors and clients to educate them on the pros and cons of different types of insurance – life, disability, long-term care and annuities – and how these solutions can help provide valuable resources when needed. Melissa is deeply gratified when clients walk away with a better understanding of their insurance options and gain confidence that their plans and loved ones can be protected.

Melissa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from St. Cloud State University. She resides in Gilbert, AZ with her dog, Lola. During her free time, Melissa likes to hike, play golf and experiment in the kitchen with new recipes. She enjoys attending plays and musicals at the local arts center and traveling with her mother, who lives nearby. She previously volunteered with the Junior League and is exploring new opportunities to get involved with her community.
