Megan Rhodes Litteral

Senior Advanced Planning Specialist

  • CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Chartered Financial Consultant®

With nearly 15 years of experience in financial planning, Megan is a key member of the Advanced Planning Strategies Team. With expertise in retirement planning, she helps build financial plans, working with advisors to help them provide the best-in-class guidance and service their clients need.

Megan joined Edelman Financial Engines in 2025 and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and a Chartered Financial Consultant®.

Prior to joining EFE, Megan was a Director of Financial Planning at a boutique financial advisory practice where she balanced day-to-day financial advisory with long-term business planning and strategy. Prior to that, she was an Associate Agent with Northwestern Mutual where she advanced to lead business development and financial advisory. She’s worn every hat in a financial planning practice – operations, education, compliance, trading and advisory.

Megan likes to think of financial planning as a roadmap to a client’s most important goals, dreams and ambitions. If she can help improve someone’s life by getting them one step closer to accomplishing a goal such as a comfortable retirement, she feels gratified. She’s motivated by helping other advisors with her expertise, knowing the reach of that support grows exponentially with each consult. She also enjoys making a positive impact on the financial planning community, believing strongly that every person should have access to an advisor that is knowledgeable and affordable.

Megan earned dual Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in business and economics from Roanoke College. She currently resides in Richmond, VA with her husband Drew and her two children Emma and Hunter, as well as her two dogs – both doodles – Rufus and Briggs and two cats, Isabella (Izzy) and Juan Pablo Chi Chi Rodriquez (Chi Chi). In her free time, Megan loves being on the water, playing pickleball, reading, volunteering, attending church and her newest hobby, gardening. Her favorite part is including her children in the process and watching them get so excited about how different things grow.
