David Ankrom

Senior Vice President, Head of Employee Planning

As Senior Vice President, Head of Employee Planning at Edelman Financial Engines, David Ankrom oversees the firm’s organization that provides retirement planning, relationship management, and financial guidance to 401(k) participants through partnerships with plan sponsors. He leads a team of more than 150 licensed financial advisors who support hundreds of 401(k) plan sponsors and more than one million participants, delivering personalized education and unbiased advice to help them make informed decisions and pursue their long-term financial goals.

With more than 25 years of financial services leadership experience, David joined EFE in 2007. He previously spent 12 years at Charles Schwab.

He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and is a Series 65 licensed financial advisor, having previously held Series 7, 63, 9, and 10 licenses.
