DE&I

EVERY VOICE MATTERS

Employee Resource Groups elevate the voices of underrepresented populations at Edelman Financial Engines.

Employee Resource Groups at Edelman Financial Engines help to accelerate our diversity, equity and inclusion journey in several ways. One is by spearheading employee trainings on DE&I-relevant topics such as allyship, gender identity and mental health. Our ERGs also lead planner-specific trainings about the financial needs of specific demographics and are a resource for any of our colleagues to reach out to with questions.

Our ERG leaders meet regularly through the ERG Leadership Council, which helps to influence the direction of our overall DE&I strategy. Leading through example, the ERG Leadership Council works to advocate for inclusive change, equitable and accessible infrastructure, and an environment of trust and respect for all.

33%

of all employees are part of at least one ERG – a participation rate that’s four times higher than most FORTUNE 500 companies. ERGs elevate the voices of underrepresented populations, build community and drive change by empowering employees to help shape the DE&I process.

Being a part of the Valor ERG leadership has
allowed me to continue serving the veteran community and their families, just in a different, but equally important capacity. As a veteran myself, I understand that there’s no higher honor, privilege or responsibility than leading and bringing about the change you wish to see.

James Williams-Willis, U.S. Army, former Sgt. Williams-Willis, Investment Advisor and Valor ERG Leader

BEACON has been able to share history and context for the African American experience with the wider EFE community without judgment or blame. We’ve facilitated difficult conversations and have created a safe space for individual expression. It’s a true honor to help this ERG grow and produce.
